Dog is on the Counter Again
The origional proposal was deleted, so here is the summary...
My family has a very intellegent dog who has a tendency to eat any unprotected food on the counter. This device may be the only hope my family has in saving our fresh cooked scones. A motion sensor combined with a simple buzzer will hopefully be enough to deter the dog.
On/off activated by moving the tail
Red LED eyes that signal that the device is on
A sharp IR distance sensor in the nose of the device
Sensor detects any movement
Buzzer that goes off when sensor detects motion
Replaceable batteries in case
The case has proved to be a bit trickier to construct then I imagined, particularly the tail. In my diagrams I did not put enough thought into the actual mechanics and support mechanisms necessary for my device. Also it was a bit of a challenge to get the electronics to work properly due to some poor soldering and connections that took some time to find.
